This relocation will provide better access to our playing fields and potentially will reduce maintenance cost of the fields with vehicles now gaining access around the playing surfaces.

Fields Maintenance Funding (September 2021 - September 2023 )

The Committee and Club would like to acknowledge the support from our Council in assisting us in keeping our fields and grounds so well maintained. Through their Sports Maintenance Funding Program, we’re able to keep providing fields for use by our Club and wider sports community.

Female Change room facilities (January 2021)

The long-awaited new female friendly Change Rooms. The club is grateful to have received funding from Sports Australia, Queensland Sport and Recreation and Sunshine Coast Regional Council. A huge thank you to Cr Natoli for his last minute and very generous contribution to see the project fully funded. The Federal Government through Sports Australia provided $192,000, Queensland Government provided $157,000 through the Get Playing Places and Spaces Program to enable Queenslanders to participate in sport and recreation activities and Council provided $100,500. If you’d like to see what’s being built, check out the plans on show down at the club. Project planning started back in 2017 with extensive work on the State Governments Get Playing Places and Spaces grant by Nikki Wood, former President Scott Toms and every single club member and supporter that helped the club get the first application in. We’d like to take this opportunity to recognise the hard work, long hours and personal contribution Nikki made in getting this project started. It took another 3 years before the Club could secure full funding to construct two new change rooms and external amenities to support female participation in rugby union at Maroochydore Rugby Union Club. In addition to this we have been fortunate to incorporate a dedicated referee’s change room as part of the project. Graham Kirk and Troy Derwin have been working tirelessly liaising with council to get the project ready so a big thank you to these guys as well. The facilities cater for our women and girls teams and amenities for our spectators and suitable space for the Refs..
